Seoul, Korea, September 10, 2025 — Rally Chile Bio Bío, Round 11 of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), will be held from September 11 to 14 on the gravel stages around Concepción. Hankook Tire & Technology (hereafter Hankook), a leading global tire company under Hankook & Company Group and the championship’s exclusive tire supplier, will provide its Dynapro R213 to all competitors.
First introduced to the WRC in 2019 and staged each year since 2023, Rally Chile Bio Bío has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most demanding events on the tour. Its dynamic stages cut through dense forests and rugged hills at high speed and with technical precision, requiring accurate driving and intense concentration from competitors.
Centered on the Pacific port city of Concepción, the 2025 edition consists of 16 special stages totaling 306.76 kilometers through the Bio Bío forests and along the coastline. The region’s variable conditions make it especially challenging: in wet weather, stages turn to mud and become difficult to control, while in dry conditions heavy dust reduces visibility. Coastal fog adds yet another layer of complexity.
Although the gravel roads in Chile are relatively smooth, steep gradients in corners and the constant shift between soft and hard surfaces place heavy demands on tire grip and durability.
Hankook will once again supply all crews with its Dynapro R213, an all-terrain rally tire developed for extreme gravel conditions. The tire offers excellent traction and handling stability at high speed while effectively absorbing impacts on mud, gravel, and sand, allowing drivers to maintain consistent performance across demanding stages. Available in both Hard and Soft compounds, the Dynapro R213 has already proven its capability in Mediterranean events such as Portugal, Italy, and Greece, where sharp rocks, rough gravel, and compact soil tested its durability and speed.
WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay 2025 tightened the battle for the drivers’ championship as Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team’s Sébastien Ogier secured victory, moving to 189 points. He trails teammates Elfyn Evans (198) and Kalle Rovanperä (191), keeping the fight for the title wide open.
Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team driver Ott Tänak, a two-time winner in Chile and currently on 180 points, remains close behind and will look to draw on his experience in Concepción for a late-season push.
As the exclusive tire supplier across all WRC categories, Hankook has consistently demonstrated the performance and reliability of its technology in extreme rally conditions. By delivering stable performance on the toughest stages, the company continues to strengthen its standing as a global premium tire brand.
