The second staging of the Hankook 12H Kuwait brings to an end a successful year in the 24H Series

- Race at Kuwait Motor Town forms the opening round of the Middle East Trophy
- Title sponsor and tire partner Hankook ideally equipped for the end-of-year event
- No time for a breather: the Hankook 24H Dubai gets underway on the 12th of January 2024

Seoul, Korea, December 8, 2023 – Finale in the desert: another successful year in the 24H Series powered by Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) draws to a close with the Hankook 12H Kuwait on December 8^th and 9^th, 2023. After the premiere in 2022, the prestigious endurance series lines up for the second time on the Grand Prix layout at Kuwait Motor Town. The defending champion is the CP Racing team, who won the inaugural race last year on the Ventus Race provided by exclusive tire partner and title sponsor Hankook Tire. This year, they are looking to repeat that feat with the same drivers. The 12-hour race gets underway at 10:00 local time on Saturday, December 9^th.

Last year, the Hankook 12H Kuwait was the first international car race with Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) approval to take place at Kuwait Motor Town since the circuit opened in 2019, and uncharted territory for the premium tire maker. The Hankook Ventus Race impressed with a consistently high level of performance on the 5.156-kilometer track, which features high-speed straights, some very fast corners, and narrow, winding sections. The Hankook team provided perfect on-site support, courtesy of its engineers and mechanics.

Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook Motorsport Director Europe said, “We gathered a lot of data at the successful debut in 2022, which means we will be able to support the drivers and teams even more efficiently at the second staging of the race.” He added, “I am looking forward to an exciting race at this cutting-edge facility, as another successful year together with our partner Creventic draws to an end.”

However, the premium tire maker has no time to celebrate. The Hankook 12H Kuwait forms the opening round of the Middle East Trophy, which continues from January 12^th to 14^th, 2024 with the Hankook 24H Dubai. More than 70 cars have already signed up for the 19th staging of the 24-hour classic, which Hankook Tire is supporting for the 10^th time as title sponsor and exclusive tire partner. At the same time, Hankook Tire will also be in action as an exclusive technical partner and tire supplier in Formula E, which holds its first race of the season in Mexico City on January 13^th, 2024. The Middle East Trophy concludes on the 20^th and 21^st of January 2024 with its third and final round, the Hankook 6H Abu Dhabi.
